Share this little corner of paradise that I can not keep to myself
Share with Westerners curious, open, eager to meet and discover.
Sharing and living my passions can sum up a guy I am, with me behind nearly 30 years of trade and almost all in the bike, another passion.
Vietnam is part of the history of France, as you will read further. Your stay will not be camping at the farm, nor the gîte in the West. Such a screen test for a week or more, I want to share life experiences in vietnam. An experience of peaceful life, to make you understand that there is another way of living than the West without living in the austere.
My goal is to share the passion I have for the Mekong Delta, do you love this country and its people. During your stay, I'll tell you my first return to France: ask its way into the Paris Metro and be completely ignored with eyes devoid of life was appalling. That day I was asked or civilization.
Any experience is never useless, but you will leave this one up, you return it will help you in your everyday life and especially in this time of crisis.
crisis here: it's every day when you read one of my next chapters on history of Vietnam, you will understand what I mean. The Vietnamese never cry over their fate, they argue with what they have, even if not much. Solidarity is one of their qualities with the system D (odd jobs).
Imagine an old man on a bicycle passing on the street and invites you to fill your old lighter, even the disposable Bic!. That's Vietnam, they are not before the numbers and letters or crying in the street because "they have over their paper ass in state enterprise or lost their jobs in the private sector. No, they are finding ways and means of living with their board, not beyond their means . When I say you never look at life the same way when you return, I am not exaggerating, this is not as tourism or exotic vacations that I propose is a different approach vacation. Share with you what I learned or, more accurately, what they m learned even if they are not all aware (especially younger ones) are lucky that they touch the daily simple happiness, without hypocrisy and without materialism.
I do not spit in the soup and I got bathed more than reasonable, more I was a materialist,,, you die. But Vietnam has made me realize that happiness was not always in possession,,, more more more. Some of my neighbors have nothing, nothing in our eyes. But they have all day smile and zest for life, wealth does not she just shook happiness? Or is poverty? live in a house of straw or those who are desperately seeking happiness in opulence? Maybe having a roof and eat his fill, enough.
Around me, I only see happy people and yet they really do not much thing

Latest their wars have learned not to cry for nothing as in Western societies.
Those who were lucky enough like me to visit Vietnam, other than in buses to "idiots" who will understand me.

For me it was a shock of my first visit to the Mekong. Nothing is like before. My outlook on life has completely changed. It took me a year to change of course, have a way for a new adventure, new life, a rebirth.
No simple and even painful to cut everything, but some events have given me the boost to not look back. But that is another story that maybe one day I will write.

For info on men who work with me, since they are in the photos, they are all adorable.
The great leader is our cousin, it's magic, it comes with nothing to do wonders. To die of jealousy Sunday DIYers who need lots of modern equipment (like me ). He makes his own tools, all held in a plastic bag (one Mirabeau, a hatchet, a saw and some chisels) and he manages to make you super soft (I am disgusted, it I need more than 2000 euros tool does not even come to like him).
Anecdotally, the first who started work with me is a 23 year old, he became my companion craft. His name that I could not pronounce, he inherited the coup, that of "Friday". It is true that I arrived not speaking a word of Vietnamese, nobody spoke neither French nor English, I was isolated in a sea of green, I just felt in the skin of Robinson one of the XXI century, except that I: c was not in a book of adventure that I had set foot, while was real around me.

Today Friday is part of the furniture as they say, and it stays with us. In more than two years he learned to do everything, it's a budding artist. He will guide with the cousin and myself about the canoes that we built to show you navigate the channels and especially on the Mekong.
I do not always speak the local language, few words out of him and still not a word of French, but we learned both the language signs. At least it never takes itself head.
My new philosophy of the life you will understand, is to share my little world and live in peace.
Ps given the number of reservations we have today and all those who are already coming to see us (we passed the 100 visitors), many have understood .... a big thank you for trusting
